Newsletter Template

Sprint release notes

This is a made-up assignment I gave to myself. Working in software development, we document release notes that summarize new features that were completed within our sprint cycle. I wanted to create a newsletter-style template to display these notes.

My thought process through this project:

  1. Color choice was based on our software coloration.

  2. The colored boxes solidifying in color represents the software process. You start with a hazy, half formed idea and through the course of development, you end up with a solid product or feature.

  3. The sizes of the colored squares use the Fibonacci sequence, which is often used when determining the amount of effort a feature will require to produce.
