This was an assignment from digital art class and completed in Photoshop.

The assignment was to make a multi-layered and textured composite that represented a mood. The original image of the donkey and tree is a photo I took years ago at Custer State Park.

My approach for this assignment included:

1. Update the image so it looked more like a silhouette.

2. Staying fairly true to the original image by not adding too much.

3. Make it dreary.
